Fire Safety & Evacuation

This course is intended for all individuals working in the health and social care environment. The session is designed to refresh and enhance the knowledge and skills of all staff with regards to fire safety. Learners will cover the theory behind legal obligations relating to fire safety: basis of how and why fire starts: principles of how to manage risks: ideas on how to work safely and understanding of the safety features of their workplace. The practical component of the session walks learners through an array of emergency situations to identify procedures for: raising the alarm: contacting the fire service: evacuating various styles of building and fire extinguishing.
