About the CPD course

This training is designed to provide foster carers with a wider awareness of child development. The course focuses on child development theories, how maltreatment impacts on developmental stages and how carers can promote development. It discusses age ranges and milestones, developmental domains, examines early brain development, substance misuse in pregnancy, explores attachment theory, disability, Dan Hughes and PACE theory, and the Secure Base.
