About the CPD course
This course is designed for those working with disabled or SEND passengers in the transport or care sectors; or any sector where disabled or vulnerable people use or require transportation. Training will help delegates carry out safe and compliant vehicle transportation of passengers (including users of WAVs) when employed as a Passenger Transport Assistant (PTA). Course includes What is a PTA; role of PTA; Equality Act & HASAWA legislation; disability; equipment familiarisation; and training required to enable safe and compliant passenger transportation. Training also raises understanding of duty of care; safeguarding; effective communication; safety restraints; reporting/recording incidents and infection control.
