About the CPD course

Domestic abuse permeates the lives of thousands of people each day with destructive results. Underpinning this abuse are coercive and controlling behaviours and tactics of the abuser. This full one day course explains the dynamics; nature; effects and causes of domestic abuse. Using case studies; learners will analyse victim responses; evaluate how best to respond to victim disclosures; and how to safeguard and share information safely and correctly. The course also looks at specialist support services; and how to refer to them.
