Dear CPD community,

In light of the current concerns surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we want to let you know about the steps The CPD Certification Service is taking to ensure we are prepared and able to continue to support you.

The CPD Certification Service has closely observed the direction provided by the government and how that effects our activity and operations. As an organisation we cannot make decisions for members as each of us operates in different circumstances and we each know what is the best course of action for us. Please be assured we are committed to help you where we can.

Our number one priority is the safety of our CPD community and our team members. We are also doing everything that we can to support on-going learning and development during this time.

Our CPD Providers

We understand our members rely heavily on digital communications. The CPD Certification Service’s infrastructure and processes allows us to provide the same level of support you have come to expect over the past 20+ years. We have trained our teams and built our processes to be adaptive, which means we are ready to handle shifts in learning patterns.

Your CPD Strategy

CPD has a continuing and vitally important role to play to us both as individuals and to industry as a whole. Your CPD strategy should now adapt to meet changes to your market. As you are evaluating your planned CPD, we recommend you consider the following:

  • Review your existing face-to-face training content and make it ‘online ready’. Find new alternatives to classroom-style training, and consider developing a suite of webinar-based training your delegates can access;
  • For those CPD providers where foot traffic may be affected, consider taking steps to continue to engage your audience through relevant digital learning content and articles; particularly short topic updates. That way they know you are still there and care.
  • For members who have to cancel in-person events, consider new ways to develop your event by creating online seminars and discussion forums. You can present your CPD in an easy way that still provides great opportunity for questions and feedback.

Please share any developments with us as we will be able to provide you with improvement points based on our deep knowledge of the digital sphere.

Our CPD Teams

All of our teams are now working from home, something we have the flexibility to do. Our systems and processes are designed to securely support this type of work environment. Hopefully the situation will be resolved in as short a time as possible. In the meantime, we hope you and your family and friends stay safe and healthy.

Throughout this time, please remember we are here to support you.

Kind regards
The CPD Certification Service
