Please provide us with a brief overview of your organisation. What do you do?
TankSkills is a Bahrain-based company with a robust presence in Fujairah, UAE, offering specialized consulting and training for the oil, gas, marine, and tank terminal industries. We provide a range of courses—some of which are CPD-accredited—focusing on operations, safety, and best practices for terminal management. Our consulting services span across areas like terminal management, commissioning, safety, and technical consulting. TankSkills also offers innovative e-learning and consultancy services, leveraging the latest technologies to provide industry-specific education and guidance.
Why did you become a CPD provider?
We became a CPD provider to ensure that our training programs meet high professional standards and offer recognized, credible learning experiences. By aligning our courses with CPD accreditation, we aim to provide oil, gas, and marine terminal operators with valuable qualifications that support career development, guarantee high educational quality, and ensure that our content remains professionally relevant. This approach promotes lifelong learning, helping our clients stay competitive and up-to-date with the latest skills and knowledge in the rapidly evolving energy sector.
How did you implement CPD accreditation in your organisation?
We implemented CPD accreditation by selecting courses that we consider to be among the most relevant from our offerings—specifically, Process Safety, ISGOTT Ship-Shore Safety Documentation, and Loading Masters. These courses were chosen due to their critical importance in the oil, gas, and marine terminal industries. To achieve CPD accreditation, we collaborated with subject matter experts to ensure that the developed content met high standards of educational quality and practical value. This process involved a comprehensive internal review of course materials to align them with CPD criteria and enhance their professional relevance, ensuring that participants receive valuable credentials that support their career development.
How has CPD helped your organisation achieve its learning objectives?
While we haven't yet conducted training sessions for our CPD-certified courses, the process of gaining accreditation has already provided substantial benefits. It has boosted our credibility in the industry, establishing us as a reliable training provider. Additionally, adhering to CPD standards has driven us to improve the quality of our course materials, ensuring they are thorough, up-to-date, and aligned with industry expectations. This process has also encouraged us to explore innovative ways to engage participants, preparing us to deliver more effective training. As of writing this survey, we have upcoming training camps scheduled for our CPD-certified courses, which will allow us to further showcase the benefits of this accreditation.
