This is a two day leadership development course aimed at NHS Clinical Directors. Clinical Directors manage a range of clinical specialties within NHS organisations but the tasks and challenges pertinent to this leadership role are common. The programme provides a foundation for further development covering basic concepts of leadership together with some of the key leadership challenges – managing conflict; holding difficult conversations; addressing poor behaviours; leading for quality and adopting inclusive (coaching) leadership approaches. The delivery approach is experiential rather than didactic; with an emphasis on learning through doing. A-synchronous learning materials are provided to support learning.
