About the CPD course

The course will provide participants with the skills, knowledge and confidence to have Motivational Interviewing Conversations in their work with children, individuals and families. It will cover the principles and core skills used in motivational interviewing, consider how to assess readiness to change and the most helpful approaches to work with people in each stage and explore and practice how to overcome resistance with clients. we will also cover how to plan for sessions and create effective SMART plans. Practitioners will get the opportunity to apply this to their practice.
