About the CPD course
This online training session supports attendees to understand the term young carer and relevant legislation relating to young carers. The session encourages attendees to consider caring responsibilities and the possible impacts of these; as well as the potential identifiers of young carers; including factors which may make a young carer hidden. Attendees will develop an awareness of how to identify and support young carers in school. The latter part introduces attendees to The Childrens Societys Young Carers in Schools Award. This session is targeted at staff working in schools; as well as those who work broadly across the education sector.
