About the CPD course

This training introduces attendees to the Academic Resilience Approach (ARA) providing an overview of what we mean by mental health and wellbeing; and how they link to the development of resilience. Attendees learn that the ARA is evidence based and has developed in response to wide ranging research into the concept of resilience. The training covers how the approach can be implemented in a school/college.

Southern Universities Network (University of Southampton)

The Southern Universities Network (SUN) is a collaborative partnership comprising HE providers in Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight. The SUN provides outreach activities for schools and colleges as part of Uni Connect – an Office for Students (OfS)-funded project. The SUN has been tasked with increasing HE participation in over 70 wards, working with 104 schools and all further education (FE) colleges in the region.
