About the CPD course
Parent and child fostering is a specialist area that requires foster carers to have dedication and commitment; including a variety of additional skills and knowledge. This course is split into 2 or 3 sessions and aims to enable foster carers to provide nurturing; supportive and safe foster placements for a parent and their child. It discusses roles and responsibilities; safeguarding; toxic trio; vulnerability factors; safer care and recording; attachment and development; blocked care; cortisol; stress and the secure base.
