Organisation Description

We offer blended online SEND courses for teachers and teaching assistants who support children with special educational needs. Each course provides an understanding of a different SEN or disability, together with practical, evidence-based strategies that you can start using immediately.

We also have courses on effective teaching and learning and managing behaviour that are not specific to learners with special educational needs. In addition to school focused courses we have courses for FE settings that were commissioned by Action for Inclusion. OnLineTraining Ltd also works extensively with departments of Education in Australia delivering blended courses across every State and Territory.

  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder

    OnLineTraining

    Structured in 4 sections, Understanding, Assessment, Interventions and Case Studies. The course provides an understanding of ASD together with practical, evidence-based strategies that you can start using immediately. Participants will be expected to complete knowledge tests, participate in forum discussions and devise 3 SMART goals, with a learner they support and choose interventions they will use to achieve those goals. Tutored support is given to create effective SMART goals. 90 days after passing the course, participants complete Goal Attainment Scaling evaluation to evaluate the success of their goals.

  • Hearing Impairment

    Structured in 4 sections, Understanding, Assessment, Interventions and Case Studies; the course provides an understanding of Hearing Impairment, together with practical evidence-based strategies that you can start using immediately. Participants will be expected to complete knowledge tests, participate in forum discussions and devise 3 SMART goals with a learner they support and choose interventions they will use to achieve those goals.   • Dyspraxia and Motor Coordination Difficulties
