Specialist Certificate in Person-Centred Therapy

The Specialist Certificate in Person Centred Therapy is available for the community and mental health practitioners to gain person-centred; client-focused therapy skills. In this course; you will be introduced to the basis of therapeutic relationships with emphasis on self-actualization; development of the self; validation; and conditions of worth. The course also includes therapeutic techniques such as empathic understanding; unconditional positive regard; and congruence. Furthermore; it also describes the standards of the therapeutic relationship; as well as several key therapeutic concepts such as fundamental occupational tasks of assessment; case presentation; case collaboration; team membership and client interaction.
