This training was developed to help inform professionals working with young people in the London borough of Camden. The training explains how mental health services usually work; the differences between mental health professionals; how to talk to a young person about accessing mental health support; how to make a referral and a list of mental health services currently available in Camden.
The Brandon Centre is a charitable organisation that has provided information, mental health interventions and sexual health services to young people for over 50 years. In addition to its core services, the centre provides a wide range of support which includes projects in youth consultation and training, childhood obesity, families with children who are in trouble with the law, photography and parenting. The Brandon Centre has established partnerships with both statutory and voluntary organisations and is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of the young people it supports.
