This short training workshop aims to introduce attendees to the process of assessing risk and developing safety plans. This training covers an introduction to risk assessment, how to respond to at risk young people, how to assess and manage risk, and how to look after one’s self in these situations . Attendees will be able to use this knowledge to better engage, understand, and support the young people they work with.
The Brandon Centre is a charitable organisation that has provided information, mental health interventions and sexual health services to young people for over 50 years. In addition to its core services, the centre provides a wide range of support which includes projects in youth consultation and training, childhood obesity, families with children who are in trouble with the law, photography and parenting. The Brandon Centre has established partnerships with both statutory and voluntary organisations and is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of the young people it supports.
